In the upcoming Everest Backup Google Drive Addon Version 1.2.0, we will be transitioning from the current API scope (www.googleapis.com/auth/drive) to a more focused scope: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This new scope will provide our addon with precise access to files specifically created by us, ensuring a more seamless backup, restore, migration, and cloning process for your WordPress websites.
Action Required: Reconnect Your Google Drive
To ensure uninterrupted service and take advantage of the improved functionalities offered by Version 1.2.0, we kindly request all users to reconnect their Google Drive accounts via the following steps:
STEP 1: Navigate to Menu -> Settings -> Cloud.
STEP 2: Select “Login with Google” under the Google Drive section.
STEP 3: Follow the on-screen prompts to re-authenticate your Google Drive account.
